My Spirit Testimonial

Temple Terrace Spirit, and in particular Harris McIlwain, were instrumental in my development as a soccer player but more importantly as a young man. The times I shared with my teammates are some of my best memories from my childhood. Winning a national championship, beating the Glasgow Rangers in Scotland, and playing the likes of Manchester United during three separate trips to the United Kingdom are memories I will always cherish. We always had very good facilities and excellent coaches but the difference between our team and other clubs was the loyalty we all felt to Temple Terrace. I played for the ’76 spirit team U-12 through U-18 and when I left to go play college football at Michigan I knew a great chapter in my life had ended. To this day, after 10 years in the NFL, some of my best sports memories occurred on those soccer fields in Temple Terrace.

Thank You,

Jay Feely, Arizona Cardinals
